A Walt Whitman Story:
I joined Whitman in our junior year not knowing a soul and was amazed at how friendly so many of you were to an unknown stranger. I have always been tremendously greatful to you for that. The most memorable experience for me was when several of us (Mike Warren, Nancy Smith, Sally Maloney, Barbara Thrasher) went out searching for Charlie Cockrell's(economics instructor) house. We went to some guy's apartment near Dupont Circle and pounded on his door at 2:00 AM!! It wasn't Charlie. What memories!!!
