Duane was also in my dental school class of 1979 at University of Maryland. I saw him at meetings and looked forward to meet up. He always singled me out to say hello. He was very generous with clinical recommendations and I appreciated his down to earth nature. I'll think of him often.

Henry was a good friend. He was best man at my wedding. Unfortunately, Henry lost his parents when he was around 23 in a plane crash. The event sent his life into a downward spiral from which he never recovered. I was close with his family. His dad, a high level employee of the World Bank, once traded cars with me, a BMW2002tii for a Fiat 850 Spyder for a couple of months for the fun of it. His mom was a first rate french chef. 

Henry was a gregarious, generous guy with a big heart. One day when his dad and I were out tinkering with the cars, he asked me to watch out for Henry. If only that had been possible, but I did try. Its always the things you wish you had said. PDB
