Man. I am so very sad to hear the news about the passing of Prunes Wheeler, twin bro of beloved friend Melissa. Prunes was an extraordinary man in so many ways. He was so smart, very funny, iconoclastic, and something of a wildman. He definitely did his own thing! Prunes was a sweetheart--kind and generous. I'm sorry we'd been out of touch in recent years but I have some wonderful memories of hanging with him. I'm away from home at the moment but when I get back Ill post a lovely photo of our WWHS San Francisco gaggle c.1969-70. with Prunes of course towering over all of us at Golden Gate Park. My heart goes out to his sisters and younger brother and all his friends. I know that wherever he is, he's zooming around on one of his far-out vintage motorcycles--stopping to tinker expertly with it...there will surely be no resting in peace for that guy.  Zoom In Peace, Prunes!
