An Opening Statement:

May 24, 2019 update: Now retired after 40 years practicing law. I am now turning my attention to writing a book about and with my daughter, Emily. Emily has Autism and is minimally speaking- and had for months been attempting to use her I pad to communicate more fully. Following a family trip to Ireland in 2016 she had a monumental breakthrough: she began typing in full sentences, and emerged as a talented writer of poetry, essays, short stories and political commentary. It all led to college, and now a book deal. She and we are thrilled. Look for it some time in 2020/2021.

My mother was a friend of Simeon's mom. The family was extremely well educated and refined and I enjoyed the time I spent at the home when we would visit. Simeon was not a close friend, but I certainly knew him from  childhood and was aware of his intelligence and kindness. Sending my deepest condolences to his immediate and extended family. May his memory be for a blessing.

The swings near Glen Echo are such a sweet memory. Peter took me there with Jack Coughlin. I have wondered what became of him!
