In Memory

James Adair

Wayne Gold writes:

Jim Adair passed away in Los Angeles on February 3, 1992, after a brave fight with AIDS. Jim and I became close friends at Bannockburn Elementary, and remained friends until his death. During our Whitman years, I spent more time with Jim and his sister, Diane, than I did with my own family. In later years, my wife and I were able to see Jim every few months, always enjoying his sense of humor and gentle soul. We still miss him today.

a sweet gentle soul. always a kind thought. unfortunately, back in the day, everyone wasn't capable of seeing him as who he was....something I hope we've all learned something from.

Jimmy was a sweet sweet boy. We were in the same classes starting from first grade until fifth grade, when we Bannockburners were broken up at the new Thomas Pyle Junior High. I am sad that he died from AIDS before the discovery of the "cocktail." I now run a small non-profit that provides support to people impacted by AIDS. Jim's memory is one of the ones that fuel me.

Jimmy and I were  neighbors while growing up in Bethesda...hope to connect with his family to share my sorrow at his passing.
